At Transitainer WA, we believe that our role in the freight forwarding and logistics sector goes beyond moving goods – it’s also about strengthening the industry itself. That’s why we’re so proud to be involved in initiatives like the Women in Logistics Luncheon, which has quickly become a highlight on the industry calendar.

The idea was simple but powerful – to create a space where women working across freight forwarding, customs, shipping, transport, and the wider supply chain can come together in a relaxed, no-agenda setting. As our Director, Kelly Crossley, shared in the Daily Cargo News feature, the luncheon was born out of a casual conversation about how nice it would be to have a women’s equivalent of a golf day – an opportunity to connect, celebrate, and support one another.

Last year’s inaugural lunch at the Windsor Hotel saw 45 women from across the supply chain come together – some attending their very first industry event. It was inspiring to see so many fresh faces, share stories, and strengthen connections that continue well beyond the day itself.

Of course, none of this would be possible without the incredible organisation of Kelly Thomas, who ensures every detail is handled to perfection. From the venue to the guest experience, Kelly’s meticulous planning makes the event seamless and truly memorable.

This year’s Women in Logistics Luncheon will again be held at the Windsor Hotel on Friday, 7 November. Tickets are $80 and available directly through Kelly Thomas at kellyt@transitainerwa.com.au.

For us at Transitainer WA, supporting events like this is about more than just one afternoon. It’s about helping shape a stronger, more connected logistics sector – one where women are recognised, supported, and celebrated for the vital role they play in keeping global trade moving every single day.
