  • One Year On: Reflecting on Industry Recognition and Our Commitment to Customers

As nominations open for the 2026 Daily Cargo News Women in Shipping & Maritime Logistics Award, the publication has recently reflected on last year’s recipients, including our Director, Kelly Crossley, who was recognised as a joint winner of the award in 2025.

At Transitainer WA, seeing Kelly featured again provided an opportunity to reflect, not just on individual achievement, but on the values, relationships and commitment that continue to drive our business every day.

The Women in Shipping & Maritime Logistics Award recognises leadership, contribution and positive impact within the Australian shipping and logistics industry. When Kelly received the award in 2025, she spoke about how it created a rare opportunity to pause and appreciate the journey, the people who had supported her along the way, and everything that had been built together.

That sentiment remains just as relevant today.

While the recognition was awarded to Kelly, it also reflects what Transitainer WA has always stood for: putting people first, building long-term relationships and delivering reliable, personalised service to our customers.

Over the years, the logistics landscape has become increasingly complex. From supply chain disruptions and changing shipping schedules to evolving customs and biosecurity requirements, businesses are facing more challenges than ever before. As freight forwarders, our role extends far beyond simply moving cargo. We work alongside our customers to navigate uncertainty, solve problems, and help keep their supply chains moving.

At the heart of that approach is our team.

In its recent feature, Daily Cargo News highlighted Kelly’s commitment to building not only a successful freight forwarding business, but also a workplace culture built on care and accountability. We believe that when people are supported, empowered, and invested in, they are better equipped to deliver outstanding outcomes for customers.

Every shipment represents a customer depending on us to get the details right. Whether it is navigating customs requirements, managing freight schedules, addressing unexpected challenges or providing trusted advice, our team takes great pride in delivering the service and support our customers rely on.

As Kelly shared in the article, awards like these are important because they shine a light on what is possible and recognise the contributions of the people who help shape our industry. We could not agree more.

Achievements in logistics are never the result of one person. They are made possible through the dedication of our team, the support of our industry partners, and, most importantly, the trust of our customers.

As the 2026 awards approach, we congratulate all those who will be nominated and recognized for their contributions to the industry. We are proud to be part of a sector filled with talented professionals who work every day to keep Australia’s supply chains moving.

Most importantly, we would like to thank our customers for their continued support and confidence in Transitainer WA. While industry recognition is always appreciated, the relationships we have built with our customers and the trust they place in us remain our greatest achievement.

From all of us at Transitainer WA, thank you for being part of our journey. We look forward to continuing to support your business and helping you navigate the opportunities and challenges ahead.
